Mrs. Twila Miller Yoder

New Holland, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Twila Miller Yoder age 54 will be held 2:00 pm Monday October 11, 2021 at New Holland Mennonite Church with Pastor Matthew Yoder and Pastor Dwayne Sensenig officiating.  Interment will follow in New Holland Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Chris Yoder, Chandler Yoder,  Cliff Stoltzfus, L.V. Yoder, Jerry Yoder, Mike Glick, Wade Miller, and Tony Miller. Mrs. Yoder entered into rest Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.  She was the beloved wife of Mr. John Yoder and the daughter of Mrs. Susie Kaufman Miller, Wagener, SC, and the late Mr. Raymond Miller. Mrs. Yoder was  born in Shipshewana, IN, but had made Aiken County her home for the last 19 years. She worked at her family’s restaurant, Millers Bread Basket in Blackville, SC, for 25 years. She attended Connection Church, Wagener, SC. Additional survivors include two sons, John Christopher Yoder, Jr., New Holland, Chandler Ryan Yoder, New Holland; one daughter, Jessica Brooke (Clifford) Stoltzfus, Seneca, SC; two brothers, Wade Miller, Williston, SC, Anthony “Tony” Miller, Dundee, NY; five sisters, Lisa Gingerich, Abbeville, SC, Joyce Glick, Seneca, SC, Sandra Miller, Partridge, KS, Lillie Troyer, Blowing Rock, NC, and Gloria Overholt, Jessup, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Yoder was also predeceased by her mother-in-law, Mary Yoder and a brother-in-law, Paul Yoder.  Mrs. Yoder lived and loved well. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman with a heart after God. Mrs. Yoder was passionate about her husband John and their three children and one son-in-law. She loved being near the ocean, camping near a lake, or anytime she was near water. Mrs. Yoder’s contagious laugh would light up any room. Relationships and spending quality time with her family was something of high priority to her. She loved her friends, family and her community fiercely. Hospitality was a gift of Mrs. Yoder’s, and you could often find her providing home cooked meals for those she loved, or simply lending a shoulder and a listening ear to those in need. Mrs. Yoder also had the gift of nurture. She loved holding babies, feeding them or rocking them to sleep. Her nurturing carried over in many ways. Each one of her nieces and nephews shared a special bond with Aunt Twila. A visitation will take place 2-4 pm Sunday October 10, 2021 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family asks that you remember an organization that helps children and babies like New Horizons, or your local crisis pregnancy center. We thank you for your love and prayers. Due to Covid, the family suggests that if you are not feeling well to give condolences at another time. Due to limited space, Monday’s service will only be open to the friends and family of John, Twila, and their children. Thank you for your understanding. The service will be live streamed on the Cole Funeral Home Facebook page. Please sign the online registry at www.colefuneralhomeinc.net. Isaiah 40:28-29 NIV: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
