Mrs. Juana Catolos Adriano

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Juana Catolos Adriano, age 91, will be held 11:00 AM Saturday August 7, 2021 at Grace Covenant Church of God with Rev. Edgar N. Foster, Sr. and Rev. David L. Holdman officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Collin Cook, Tommy Cook, Austin McCormick, Danny Middleswarth, Anthony Cygan, and Ken Dennis Fernandez. Mrs. Adriano was a native of Tanay, Rizal, Philippines, but had made Aiken her home for the last 31 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Macario “Mac” Adriano and the daughter of the late Mr. Andres Catolos and the late Mrs. Mamerta Quirre Catolos. Back in the Philippines, Mrs. Adriano was a fish vendor, sold clothes, and even started up a cafeteria. She was involved in the Tanay Christian Faith Fellowship church. Mrs. Adriano was currently an active member of Grace Covenant Church of God where she was involved in the Fil-Am Bible Study that was started by Rev. David L. Holdman for over eight years. She loved to sing and lead worship during these Bible studies. Mrs. Adriano was passionate in her faith, and believed in the power of prayer. She loved many things including singing and dancing, reading her Bible, taking trips to the Philippines, and watching the Price is Right. Her favorite thing of all was being surrounded by her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anytime you saw her, she had a big smile on her face and showed her affection by giving you a big hug. She was loved and known as Nanay by all, and she will be deeply missed. Survivors include: three sons Alfredo (Charito) Adriano, Philippines, Antonio Adriano, Philippines, and Aries Adriano, Atlanta, GA; eight daughters Adelaida (Rogelio Bermio) Adriano, Germany, Amparo (Ronnie) Marquez, Philippines, Angelita Adriano, Aiken, Amelita Adriano, Aiken, Arsenia “Arsie” (Tommy) Cook, Aiken, Amor (Danny) Middleswarth, Aiken, Arlina (Ruben Guerrero) Adriano, Aiken, and Annaliza (Rodney) Krepps, North Augusta; one sister Ligaya Lamina, Philippines; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one brother-in-law Dominador (Zenaida) Adriano, Aiken. Mrs. Adriano was preceded in death by: one son Arturo Adriano; one daughter Amelia Adriano; one great grandson John William R. Adriano; two brothers Herminio Catolos and Teofilo Catolos; four sisters Roquesa, Delfina, Felomina, and Felicisima. A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 PM Friday August 6, 2021 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175.
