Fannie Lou Snipes DuBose

August 28, 1936 — December 12, 2020

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday December 16, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville.  Mrs. DuBose entered into rest Saturday December 12, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late Mr. Ted H. DuBose, Jr. and a daughter of the late Mr. Robert Snipes and the late Mrs. Inez Gardner Snipes.  Mrs. DuBose was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County SC. She was a member of the DAV 2194 Columbia Highway N., Aiken, SC., and a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken.  Mrs. DuBose will always be remembered at Bethel for all the hard work she put into every activity that took place at the church from Treasurer of her sunday school class, serving on the benevolence  committee to running the concession stand at the softball field where she was known for her hot dogs and chili. Mrs. DuBose loved to fish, cook and gardening. She had a deep love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Survivors include one daughter, Cathy (David) Young, West Columbia, SC,; one son, Martin E. DuBose, S.C.; one brother, Pete Snipes, TX,; one sister, Barbara Ann Whitworth, Lexington, SC; three grandchildren, Leah (Michael) Sox, Eric (Krystyna) DuBose, Ashley (Corey) Troutman; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. DuBose was predeceased by four brothers, Calvin, Oakley, Charles, David Snipes; five sisters, Agnes Franklin, Pollie Snipes, Mary Stephens, Dorothy Condrey, and Brenda Hall. Pallbearers will be Corey Troutman, Eric DuBose, Aaron Sox, Roland Mitchum, Devin Robertson, and Jeremiah Redmond. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that memorials be made to Bethel Baptist Church. P.O. Box 2168 Aiken, SC, 29802 or to the Aiken DAV 2194  Columbia Highway North. Aiken, SC, 29805. A visitation with the family  will take place Wednesday December 16, 2020  starting at 11:30 am till 12:30 pm at Bethel Baptist Church. Due to Covid-19 masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
