Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Monday June 3, 2019 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Mr. William Clyde Davis age 80.  Mr. Davis was a native Nashville, TN and grew up in Aiken, SC. He was the son of the late Mr. Richard Davis and the late Mrs. Ruth Lafon Davis.  Mr. Davis had over 9 years in the travel business as a tour planner and a  tour director. He had been in newspaper, radio, and television. Mr. Davis appeared in over 30 community theatre musicals and comedies in starring roles and 40 years in Episcopal Church choirs and sang in 2 opera productions.  Mr. Davis was a member of the Lions Club for 20 years and participated in many fund raising functions with the Lions Club.  He was with Jernigan & Associates CPA as the local managing partner in the local market.  In 2 years Mr. Davis opened up 7 branches of the firm over the southeast. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS in marketing with a minor in Psychology. After graduating from USC Mr. Davis went to work at the Augusta Chronicle in the Classified and Advertising Department.  Mr. Davis served his country in the U.S. States Army.  Survivors include one son, Brendan Davis, Beijing, China; two daughters, Kelley Hamilton and Holley Hamilton, Columbia, SC; two brothers, one sister, trhree grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, Aiken, SC.  A memorial service will be held in Albany, GA at a later date to be announced.
