Mr. William “Bill” Royce Frazer
Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Sunday August 21, 2022 at Specialty Select Medical Augusta, GA, Mr. William “Bill” Royce Frazer at the full age of 85. He was a native of New Rockford, North Dakota and a son of the late Mr. William James Frazer and the late Mrs. Jean Gerdes Frazer. Mr. Frazer was the beloved husband of 43 years to Mrs. Sophary Tep Frazer, Aiken, with whom he danced through life with. Mr. Frazer was a 1954 graduate of New Rockford High School, New Rockford, ND. He also graduated from Minot State University and majored in Business Education with a minor in Economics and then went on to earn his MBA in Finance Management at Pacific Lutheran University. Mr. Frazer was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Nereus, and then in US Navy Reserves. Mr. Frazer was employed with The Boeing Co., Weyerhuaser, and then began his career with the Bechtel Group as a Procurement Manager and retired in 2010 after 30 years of service. Mr. Frazer traveled throughout the United States and worldwide for the Bechtel Group throughout his extensive career. In 1985, he moved his family to Aiken, SC where he resided and grew his life of family and friends. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aiken, where he served in many leadership roles. His hobbies included fishing, boating, camping, hunting, tinkering with his many automobiles and toys, working in his yard, playing a good game of golf and watching football or baseball on the TV. He is also survived by his three sons, Rick Frazer, Graham, Washington; Mark (Koni) Frazer, Tacoma, Washington; Bryan (Tammy) Frazer, Moncks Corner, SC; and three daughters, Sodeya (Juan Luis Jurat Fuentes) Bernard, Knoxville, TN; Barbara (Tim) Roberts, Windsor, SC; Elizabeth (Kevin) O’Gorman, Edgefield, SC. Bill was one of eight siblings. Surviving are three brothers, Dwight Frazer, Fargo, ND; Gene Frazer, Woodbury, MN; Terry Frazer, New Rockford, ND; and one sister, Laurel Boyse, Eastvale, CA. He leaves fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. They call him Papa. Mr. Frazer was predeceased by two brothers, Darrel, and Marvin Frazer; and one sister, Linda Frazer. A celebration of life will be held at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC with military honors at a later date. Please sign the online registry at www.colefuneralhomeinc.net.
