Mr. Wilbert Goff
Eastover, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Wilbert Goff, age 87, will be held 11:00 am on Monday May 18, 2026, at Temple Baptist Church 806 Universal Dr Columbia, SC 29209 with Rev. GA Heinisch officiating. Interment will be private. Pallbearers will be Johnny Taylor, Bobby Reid, Jimbo Blizzard, WD Blizzard, Nathan Helzer, Joey Goff, and David Helms. Mr. Goff entered into rest on Tuesday May 12, 2026, at Prisma Health Richland. He was the beloved husband to Mrs. Mary “Terry” Wright Goff and a son to the late Mr. Ernest Goff and the late Mrs. Lillian Louise Peak Goff. Mr. Goff was a native and lifelong resident of the Columbia area. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Goff was a Freemason and was a member of the Lower Richland Lodge No. 406, A.F.M. Mr. Goff was passionate about hunting and fishing, and was the founder of the Goff Swamp Hunting and Fishing Club over sixty years ago. He dedicated his life and time to his hunting club. He was also a Ford car enthusiast, owning and collecting many different Ford automobiles. Mr. Goff also enjoyed watching the Clemson Tigers play. He was the treasurer of the Old McGraw Community Center and was the owner of Carolina Air and Water Balancing Company, which he established in 1987. He enjoyed talking to people, and knew just about everybody he ran into in public. Beneath his rough exterior, he had an unwavering love for his family and his friends. He will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: three sons Todd (Tonya) Goff, Aiken, SC, Chris Goff, Blythewood, SC, and Jody (Beckie) Hill, Blythewood, SC; six grandchildren Jacob (Victoria) Goff, Barrett Goff, Allyson (Ryan) Winde, Erin (Grant) Wells, Jared Hill, and Kara Hill; two great grandchildren Cassian Goff and Lyla Winde; and a great granddaughter on the way, Inara Goff. Mr. Goff was preceded in death by his brother Isaac Haynes Goff. A visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to service at Temple Baptist Church. Because of Mr. Goff's love for children, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital www.stjude.org.
