Aiken, SC—Mr. Warren Eugene McSwain, age 74, entered into rest on Thursday October 23, 2025, at Aiken Memory Care. He was born in Miami, FL, to the late Mr. James Ernest McSwain, Sr., and the late Mrs. Juanita Rose DeSoto McSwain. Warren was a proud brother, Army veteran, husband, father, uncle, grand-father and friend. He was always interested in learning something new. He loved to read books, solve word puzzles, learn new tidbits of trivia. And, his favorite pastime was working with hands. It didn't matter if it was in the woodshop, garage, on the farm or in the yard. He was never one to shy away from work. No doubt there are countless stories of "Gene" being there to lend a hand. Survivors include: his wife Jerri L. McSwain of WV; one son Jason S. McSwain of SC; three daughters Loree A. Hartzog, SC, Sharon Brewer, WV, and Mary Snyder, WV; three brothers James E. McSwain, Jr., FL, Joseph P. McSwain, NC, and Michael A. McSwain, MI; four sisters Ruth E. McSwain Hale, FL, Martha A. McSwain Burke, SC, Linda C. McSwain Neal, GA, and Mary E. McSwain Waterson, NC; and eleven grandchildren Elyse, Olivia, Jacob, Audrey, and Caleb Hartzog, SC, Lakota and Lily Fluharty, SC; Isabella and Warren “AJ” Brewer, WV; and Sophia and Samuel Snyder, WV.
