Mrs. Virginia Ann Bodie Hancock

Aiken—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Virginia Ann Bodie Hancock age 76 will be held 11:00 am Thursday June 19, 2014 at Bethcar Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hancock was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Nathan Andrew Bodie and the late Mrs. Julia Scott Bodie.  Mrs. Hancock had retired in 1997  at ASCO with 17 years of service as an operator.  She was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church, Wagener.

Suvivors include three daughters, Beth (Lance)  Harrell, Harlem, GA, Janie (Ken) Hendrix, Cave Springs, GA, Marie (Andy) Bell, Camden, NC;  one brother, Bill Bodie, Aiken; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Hancock was predeceased by one daughter, Slvia Kicklighter,  seven brothers, James. Andrew, Geddings, Silas Nathan, Byron, William Norris, David Felix, and Ray Daniel Bodie; three sisters, Edith Satcher, Jeannette Bodie, and Rosa Carolyn Asbill.

Pallbearers will be Gene Bodie, Norwood Bodie, Tommy Bodie, Michael Bell, Cameron Long, and Adam Bodie.
