Tanya Jean Craft Cox

Effingham, SC—Mrs. Tanya Jean Craft Cox, age 62, entered into rest on Tuesday October 28, 2025, at Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was the wife of the late Mr. Legrand Owens and a daughter of the late Mr. D.P. Craft and the late Mrs. Margaret Copley Craft. Mrs. Cox was born in Norton, VA, and was a resident of Effingham, SC. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Newspring Church in Florence, SC. Mrs. Cox worked for the McCleod Hospital in Florence and Dalton. She was also a caretaker for the elderly. Her hobbies included crocheting, shopping, reading, and traveling. She was loved by her friends and family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: one son Michael (Angela) Woodham, Lamar, SC; one daughter Linda Woodham, New Ellenton, SC; two brothers Jeff (Robin) Craft, Edinboro, PA, and D.P. “Bink” (Diana) Craft, Utica, PA; one sister Keokee Craft, Effingham, SC; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by one sister Margaret “Marti” Brown. A celebration of life with the family will be held at a later date.
