Aiken, SC—Mrs. Sara Stone Parrish, age 86, entered into rest on Wednesday August 12, 2026 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living Facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Roy H. Parrish, Sr., and the daughter of the late Mr. Carl Patrick Stone and the late Mrs. Rose Herron Courtney. Mrs. Parrish was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Redd's Branch Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, yard work, flowers, and church. She was loved by her family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: one son Michael (Juan Carlos Jaime) Parrish, Greer, SC; one brother George “Jerry” Stone, Aiken, SC; five grandchildren Michael Parrish, Anderson, SC, Madison Parrish, Anderson, SC, Matthew Parrish, Anderson, SC, Brittany (Michael) Allen, Easley, SC, and Sara (Jake) Ann Mauritz; and one great grandchild Amelie Allen. Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by: one son Roy H. Parrish, Jr.; and seven brothers Jack, Frank, Roy, Teddy, Carl, Patrick, and Joseph Stone. A private service will be held at a later date.
