Mr. Sammie Wilson
Aiken—A celebration of life service for Mr. Sammie Wilson, age 78 will be held 2:00 pm, June 25, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses Croft Mill Road, Aiken, SC with Mr. William Peterson officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Wilson entered into rest Wednesday, June 23, 2016 at The Place at Deans Bridge, Augusta, GA. He was the husband of Mrs. Nettie Williams Wilson of Aiken, SC and a son of the late Mr. Jessie Toy Wilson, and the late Mrs. Carrie Lee Faison Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Florence, SC and had made Aiken County his home for the past 40 years. He was a 1955 graduate of Wilson High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant retiring after 20 years service. Mr. Wilson then went to work for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Plant for 5 years and then to W.R. Grace Kaolin, and retired there in 2003 with 18 years of service. His passion was telling stories, working on cars and fishing. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses East Congregation on Croft Mill Road, Aiken, SC.
Additional Survivors include two sons, Andrew (Lorie) Wilson, Aiken, Gregory (Peggy) Wilson, Aiken; one daughter, Tiffany(Kevin) Bostick, Cumming, GA; five brothers, Eddie Wilson, Georgetown, SC, Allen (Rose) Wilson, Florence, SC, Henry Wilson, Florence, SC, Bill Wilson, Florence, SC, Joe Wilson, Houston, TX; five sisters, Ethel Carter, Florence, SC, Gladys Green, Washington, DC, Annie Jean (Herbert) Burgess, Florence, SC, Betty Wilson Daniels, Florence, SC, Deborah Wilson, Stone Mountain, GA; five grandchildren and one great grandson.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Tyler, Ernell Tyler, Charles Simpkins, Malik Murray, Willie Williams, and Frank Mars.
