Mr. Ronald “Snuffy” Odell Eubanks

Aiken—Entered into rest at his residence Monday, January 13, 2013 after a long hard fought battle with lung cancer, Mr. Ronald “Snuffy” Odell Eubanks age 70, beloved husband of 50 years of Mrs. Emily Goodwin Eubanks and son of the late Mr. Lonnie Eubanks and Mrs. Onie Mitchell Eubanks.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, January 16, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Brancie Stephens and Rev. Mark Barnette officiating.  Interment will follow in Clearwater Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Eubanks was a native and life long resident of Aiken County.  He retired after 44 years of service from the Graniteville Company.  Mr. Eubanks was a dedicated member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Eubanks was a loving husband, father, Pepa, and Grandaddy and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Additional survivors include one son Charles (Deanna) Eubanks, Apopka, FL; one daughter Susan (David) Poythress, Sumter; grandchildren, Wayne Biddenstadt, Kara Biddenstadt, Megan Poythress, and Christopher Poythress; two sisters, Lonnell (George) Merideth, Vine Grove, KY, Elizabeth (Morris) Macklen, Evans, GA; one brother, Ted (Sally) Eubanks, LaGrange, KY and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Eubanks is also survived by two devoted and loved friends and brothers in Christ, James Hiers, and Ira McKuhen both of Aiken.  Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by one son, Brian Keith Eubanks, four brothers, and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Poythress, Wayne Biddenstadt, Will Bell, Roy Blackwell, Lee Benson, and Stanley Brown.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bethel Men’s Sunday School Class, Bethel Agape Sunday School Class, Steve Woodward, Nancy Lott, Connie Stephens, and Hazel Jones.

The family would like memorials be made to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648.
