Mr. Robert Eugene Hervieux

Mr. Hervieux was born in North Attleboro, MA and had made Aiken County his home for the past 12, years. He was the beloved husband for 50 years to Mrs. Gertrude “Trudy” O’Neill Hervieux, Aiken, and son of the late Mr. Armond Eugene Hervieux and the late Mrs. Dolores Heon Hervieux. Mr. Hervieux was a professional craftsman and business owner for nearly 40 years; from the roofing industry to the automotive industry and everything in between. In the mid 80's he opened an automotive repair shop that expanded into a convenience store and gas station called Chocorua Service Center. Additionally, Tamworth Racing And Kustom Cars (T.R.A.C.K.) was just another avenue to fuel his passion for racing and custom cars. He decided to trade the New England winters for something more tropical, so a move to FL landed him back in the commercial roofing industry. After many years as superintendent and senior project manager, he decided to take an early retirement after being diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer in late 2005. Once retired, he and Trudy moved to South Carolina where he would oversee and encourage business operations of his son Robert's business in Easley, SC., as well as his daughter Lorrie's business in Aiken, SC. His entrepreneurial spirit and craftsman abilities were passed on through generations, as it is evident to see even in his grand children today. Mr. Hervieux had numerous hobbies throughout his lifetime including drag racing motorcycles, stock car racing, custom fabrication, carpentry, Sundays were for NASCAR, football, boating, fishing and hunting, but his family was always his #1 priority.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Kelly Guilmette, Berlin, New Hampshire, Lorrie (Joseph) Sullivan, Aiken; two sons, Robert (Bob) Eugene Hervieux, Jr., Aiken, Charlie Fisette, Auburndale, Florida; 8 grandchildren, Jordan Guilmette, Kasey Guilmette, Logan Sullivan, Shane Sullivan, Josie Sullivan, Brooke Hervieux, Eric Fisette and Mackenzie Fisette; two great grandchildren, Aria Fisette, and Lorelei Long; six brothers, Bruce, Paul, Donald Hervieux, Lloyd, Wayne and Richard Bateman, Jr.; three sisters, Diane Hicks, Susan Montgomery, and Linda Renehan; Mr. Hervieux was predeceased by a sister, Joanne Gosselin, sister-in-laws, Kathy Pearson and Sue Hervieux, brother-in-laws, Richard, Sonny and Donald O’Neill. At Mr. Hervieux's request he was to be cremated and no services are to be held at this time, a celebration of life will honor him at a later date to be determined. He also requested that in lieu of flowers, please send donations directly to the love of his life, his wife Trudy.
