Mrs. Renee Michelle Ratliff Stewart
Edgefield, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Renee Michelle Ratliff Stewart, age 54, will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 10, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wes Holbrook officiating. Mrs. Stewart entered into rest on Monday October 5, 2026, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Samuel Stewart and a daughter to Ms. Judy Newlin and the late Mr. Roscoe Ratliff. Mrs. Stewart was born in Sumter, SC, but had made her home in the Aiken/Edgefield area since 2008. She was a Christian and a member of Fearless Church. She enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of ABATE SC. Mrs. Stewart was ambitious and talented. She was always doing something to keep busy and especially enjoyed crafting. She could craft and make anything, including plushies, blankets, towels, and cups. Mrs. Stewart also enjoyed traveling to the beach and going on cruises. Her favorite artist was P!nk. Most of all, she was a very loving person. She loved taking care of elder people and even worked in the Alzheimer's unit at the VA in Missouri. Mrs. Stewart also loved spending time with her family, but her heart was her grandbabies. She was loved by her family and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: two sons Joshua Stewart, MO, and Samuel (Tabytha) Stewart II, North Augusta, SC; three daughters Michele (Jarred) Peterman, Kuna, ID, Kimmie (Eric) Buffett, Graniteville, SC, and Karol (Brandon Dowdy) Stewart, Aiken, SC; one brother Michael (Paige) Ratliff, Raleigh, NC; and ten grandchildren Serenity Stewart, Isaiah Stewart, Dameon Goodway, Kayli Goodway, Sloane Buffett, Sutton Buffett, Evelyn Stewart, Samuel Stewart III, Lydia Stewart, and Rowen Williams. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her sister Nikki Rivers. Visitation with the family will take place following the service at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Georgia Cancer Center https://foundation.wellstar.org/give-now/ or Fearless Church https://fearlesschurch.net/give/.
