Miss. Penny Elizabeth Higgenbotham
Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Monday September 7, 2020 at her residence Miss. Penny Elizabeth Higgenbotham, age 36. Penny was a Type 1 Diabetic and was diagnosed at age 15, and battled this disease for 21 years. She was born in Augusta, GA and was a life long resident of Aiken County. Penny was the daughter of Mrs. Joan Fulmer (Charles) Patterson of Aiken and Mr. Andy Higgenbotham of Greenville, SC. She was a 2002 graduate of Ridge Spring Monetta High School. Penny loved to read and watch movies. Penny was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Ridge Spring, SC. Additional survivors include her son, Noah Tillman Quarles, Aiken; one sister, Taylor Ray Martin, Aiken and one step brother, Thomas Andrew (Jessica) Patterson, Aiken, and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flower the family has suggested that memorials be made to the American Diabetic Association at diabete.org/donate. A celebration of life service will be held 5:00 pm Sunday September 13, 2020 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be livestreamed on the Cole Funeral Home Facebook page. Face mask will be requred and social distancing will be observed. A visitation with the family will be held in the chapel following the service.
