Mrs. Pamela Houwers McCollum

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Pamela Houwers McCollum, age 68, will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday January 31, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci with Rev. Logan C. Ford officiating. Mrs. McCollum entered into rest on Sunday January 18, 2026, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Tommy McCollum and a daughter to the late Mr. Jerome Houwers and the late Mrs. Nancy Elliot Houwers. Mrs. McCollum was born in Augusta, GA, and was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She had a bachelors degree in accounting and was a bookkeeper for many years. She was a Christian and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Mrs. McCollum enjoyed cooking, reading, and singing. She loved watching tv and movies and thoroughly enjoyed watching “Steel Magnolias.” Mrs. McCollum also loved travelling to Hilton Head to enjoy time at the beach. She was a pistol of a woman, and will be missed dearly by her friends and family. Additional survivors include: two sons Jerome McCollum, Aiken, SC, and Tommy Keith McCollum, Aiken, SC; one brother William “Bill” (Laura) Houwers, Newnan, GA; and two grandchildren Clarissa McColluma and Liam McCollum. Mrs. McCollum was preceded in death by one son Tommy Lee McCollum, Jr. and one sister Patricia Houwers Taylor.
