Mrs. Nellie Viola Widener Steele

Aiken—Entered into rest Saturday October 19, 2013 at her residence, Mrs. Nellie Viola  Widener Steele age 85, wife of the late Mr. Harold H. Steele and daughter of the late Mr. Lee Widener and the late Mrs. Ethel Gregory Widener.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday October 22, 2013 at Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clint Smith officiating.

Mrs. Steele was a native of Wagener and had made Aiken her home most of her life.  She was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter-Teresa “Joe” Smith, Aiken; two grandchildren, Melissa “Jeff” Best and Joseph “Rhonda” Smith; four great grandchildren.  Mrs. Steele was predeceased by three sisters, Lillie Cato, Louise Rhinehart, Leona Kelly.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Town Creek Baptist Church building fund, 250 Town Creek Road. Aiken, SC, 29803

The family would like to express a gratitude of thanks to Trinity Hospice for all of their compassionate care they gave Mrs. Steele during her illness.

The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
