Nancy Elizabeth Goff Durst, beloved wife of the late David Lemuel "Lem" Durst entered into Heaven's gates on Saturday March 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born and raised in Blaney, SC, she was the daughter of the late John and Charlotte Goff. She leaves behind her daughter and son in law, Karen and Guy Hembree. She also leaves her grandchildren Jennifer (Ross) Smith, Chris Durst, Jeffery (Elizabeth) Hembree, and Jeremy (Melissa) Hembree, all of Aiken, and Danielle E. Durst of Leesburg, FL. Great grandchildren Caitlyn H. Gray (Taylor), Christopher E. (Chelsea) Durst, A. Tre Moyer A1C (USAF), Hailey M. Smith, Cody Durst, AJ Hembree, Logan Durst, Dustin Layfield, Dixie Durst, Ashlee Hembree, Audrey Hembree, Aiden Hembree, Dominick Durst, Kaydence Durst, Kayla Durst, Nolan Durst, Isabella Hoffman, and Jaxson Durst; along with three Great-great grandchildren, Lemuel and Abigale Gray and Nathan Durst. Several nieces and nephews along with a special daughter, Joanne Harley. Along with her loving husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son David E. Durst; Brothers Eldred (Jean) Goff, Tommy Goff, Clyburn Goff, Herbert Goff, Laverne Goff, and Sisters Mary (Herbert) Campbell and Noni Ruth Butler. Nancy had an unwavering faith in God. She was an active member of Redd's Branch Baptist Church since 1953. She taught Sunday school for the children. She also taught GA"s and Acteen's along with being involved with missions. Karen and Guy have provided loving care for her the last 11 years of her life. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Nancy their greatest gratitude. The family will receive friends on Monday March 27, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at Cole Funeral Home. Her "Home Going" Celebration will be at Redd's Branch Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard McWhite and Tim Harley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: AJ Hembree, Christopher, Cody and Logan Durst, Dustin Layfield, and Randall Riley. honorary Pallbearers will be Nancy's lifelong friends: Miriam Summers, Mary and Tommy Blackwell, Bernie and Betty Snipes, and adoptive children, Joanne Harley, Denise Green, Katrina Moseley, Larry Harley and David Harley.
