Morse William Poston III

Morse (Tuck) William Poston III, age 71, entered into rest on September 28, 2026. Born in Columbia, SC to Morse (Bill) William Poston II and Jean F. Poston. He lived in Aiken, South Carolina his whole life, and was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and retiree of the Savannah River Site. He is remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his decades of service, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.

A 1973 graduate of Aiken High, Tuck began his career at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in 1978 working in DWPF. He was there for 33 years before retiring in 2011.

He was also a member of Milbrook Baptist Church.

He married his high school sweetheart, Susan, and together they shared more than 50 years of marriage. Their enduring devotion was a beautiful testament to the lifelong bond they built.

Tuck is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Poston; his daughter, Amanda (Chadwick) McKinney, grandchildren, Connor McKinney, and William (Avery) McKinney and his grandsons, Logan Kirkpatrick and Sam Thomas. Logan and Sam are the sons of his late daughter, Laura Poston Kirkpatrick, whom he carried in his heart and has now joined in heaven. He was survived by his sisters Lee Ann Poston, Kimberly Williams, Billie Jean Lott, and also preceded in death by his sisters, Sherri Moseley, and Beth Blackwell.

His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
