Mary Alice Nadeau

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Mary Alice McCartney Nadeau, age 76, will be held 5:00 PM Thursday September 30, 2021 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas Herlong officiating. A private burial with the family will take place at a later date. Mrs. Nadeau entered into rest on Thursday September 23, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Marc Nadeau and the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Carlisle McCartney and the late Mrs. Laura “Annette” Beasley McCartney. Mrs. Nadeau was born in Nashville, TN but had made Aiken her home since 1984. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Nadeau was a teacher in Lexington, KY at Jessie Clark Middle School. After moving to Aiken, she became a mechanical engineer for SRS from 1984-2010. She had also volunteered teaching at Christ Central for the GED program. Additional survivors include: one son Wes Parrish, Marrietta, GA; and three grandsons Tommy, Toby, and Theo Parrish. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made online to Gideons International at gideons.org/donate. A visitation will follow the service at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. Due to Covid19, masks and social distancing are suggested.
