Marlin Sticher Price

Born in Carollton, Ga 11/6/50 to William Floyd Price and Ora Sticher(Price). Died in Augusta, GA 4/27/2026

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Roy Price (Reba) and Donald Price (Jane), as well as great-grandchild Emma, 2 sister in laws Glenda Whaley Croley and Kathleen Judy Whaley.

He leaves behind his wife Christine Whaley Price, his son Adam Trent Price (Kristi) , his daughter Amber Jeanette Price (Kirk Soares), and grandchildren Antonio (Tony) Lopez, Ashawnta Price (Jesse Castillo), Allissa Russell Smith (Jarrius), Victoria Russell, Abigail Price, Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Annilee Mitchell. He also leaves great grandchildren Rose, Silas, Bucky, and Elijah. His Sister-in-law Karen Tibbs (Donnie), and brother-in-law Randy and brother-in-law Mike Croley. There are numerous nieces and nephews that loved him as well. Kelly Johnson (Chris), Cindy Hull (John), Scott Price (Narguis) Aundrea Johnson (Scott), Cliff Whaley (Stacy), Randall Whaley (Smokey), Amy LaGasse, Dale LaGasse (Ashley), Amanda Griffin(Manuel), Jodi Griffin (Krystal), Jessica Schweikhardt (Steve), Tanna Horner (Brock) and Ben Tibbs (PJ) plus numerous grand nephews and grandnieces. There are numerous cousins as well. We pray for them all to have peace in losing this wonderful man.

Marlin went to elementary school at Fairplay Elementary, Douglas High School, and graduated Atlanta Christian College with BA in Christian ministry. He was an ordained minister through his home church of Union Grove Church of Christ.

He ministered most recently at Cowboy Church Fellowship (2 years) and assisted at Real Life Church where he had been a member for 46 years. He worked part-time as crossing guard at Hilltop Elementary/Jr. High for 12 years. He also worked for New Medico for 5 years, G.Pierce Woods Memorial Hospital for 12, worked with Department of Juvenile Justice and Kemen Auto Parts locally.

There were many churches that he served in including Union Grove Church of Christ in Fairplay, Ga, Sullivan Rd Christian Church in Knoxville, TN, Sarasota Christian Church, First Christian Church in Wauchula, FL, Real Life Church, Lord's Church Bowling Green, FL, mostly as music minister and teacher throughout but also pastor for three of the churches.

His mission was always the same: minister and teach others to get ready for Jesus' return. At the Cowboy Church Fellowship there were 17 decisions for the Lord in the last three months he was there.

Marlin struggled with liver cancer for two years which led to kidney and lung failure. He suffered for the past three weeks especially. On his last day with us he was seeing angels and talking to God. His family witnessed this and were awestruck. We know where he is. We know he loved the Lord, read his word every day, studied and loved to tell others about Christ. We have had numerous people tell us that he was the best teacher they had in church.

Anyone who knew him, knew his dry sense of humor, his wonderful singing voice and musical talent. He was willing to sing and play wherever he went. His niece Kelly would invite him annually to come to her home and invited family and friends to come over just to hear him sing.

His celebration of life will be held at Real Life Church of Christ in Wauchula, FL on May 17th at 2 pm. We invite our friends from Cowboy Church Fellowship to join us in this celebration. In lieu of flowers please donate to Alpha & Omega Freedom Ministries, Inc., where he dedicated many hours of singing and playing. He also played Santa Claus to the homeless children there as well as in several locations in town and in Sebring, FL. He will be missed! www.aofm-hannahshouse.org
