Charleston, SC--A celebration of life service for Miss. Lyn Michelle Kirkbride, age 32 will be held 2:30 pm Saturday December 2, 2017 at Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC with Rev. John Bolin officiating. Interment will be private. Michelle entered into rest Saturday November 25, 2017 at her residence in Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of Ms. Lori Roe of Charleston, SC and Mr. Thomas (Francis) Kirkbride of Aiken. Michelle was born in Aiken and had made Aiken her home all her life until she relocated to Charleston, SC seven years ago. She was a 2004 graduate of Silver Bluff High School, and worked in many areas with the Aiken County Board of Disabilities with 4 years. While living in Charleston, SC Michelle was employed by Goodwill of Charleston as a retail associate and was very involved with the Dodgers Special Olympics in Charleston. Michelle was a member of the Low Country Charleston AKTION Club, and in Aiken she was a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church and in Charleston she attended North Bridge Baptist Church. Additional survivors include one brother, Thomas (Cassie) Kirkbride, Jr., Augusta, GA; one sister, Lorrena (Daniel) Cannella, New Ellenton, SC; five nieces and nephews, Julia, Aubree, Emmarie Cannella, Arabella Kirkbride, Wyatt Wooten ; Maternal Grandparents, Joann Keatts, Monetta, SC, Grady Roe, Aiken; Paternal Grandparents, the late William "Bill" Kirkbride and the late Doris Henderson; step grandmother, Carol Autrey, Beach Island, SC. Michelle was also predeceased her grandfather, Jesse Keatts and grandmother Barbara Roe. Pallbearers will be Donald Patterson, Donald Autrey, Gene Roe, Mitchell Kirkbride, Todd Kirkbride, Donald Hamilton, Josh Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Dodgers Softball Team of Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston, 81 Gadsen Street, Charleston, SC 29401 or to the Special Olympics of Charleston area 6, 109 Oak Park Drive, Irmo, SC 29063.
