Mrs. Linda Hudson Snipes

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Linda Hudson Snipes age 76 will be held 3:00 pm Sunday November 13, 2022 at Harvest Baptist Church on Columbia Hwy. North, Aiken with Rev. Glenn Davis and Rev. Mike Catoe officiating.  Interment will be private. Mrs. Snipes entered into rest Wednesday November 9, 2022 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Mr. Richard L. Snipes and a daughter of the late Mr. Murray Hudson and the late Mrs. Cora Johnson Hudson. Mrs. Snipes was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. Mrs. Snipes had served as a cashier for Food Max with two years service and was an inspector at FMC for six years. She was part owner and operator along with her husband Richard with the “Ice Cream Truck” where she was over sales, and was affectionately known as the “Ice Cream Lady” throughout Aiken County for over ten years. Her hobbies included Cooking, Crocheting, Needle Point, and working crossword puzzles. Mrs. Snipes was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Aiken, SC.  Additional survivors include one son, Rick (Angie) Snipes, Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, O’Neal Hudson, Aiken, Lewis Hudson, Beech Island; one sister, Frankie Lee Munn, Columbia, SC and three grandchildren. Mrs. Snipes was predeceased by one brother, Gerald Hudson, and two sisters, Virginia Turner and Patsy Carlin. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that memorials be made to Harvest Baptist Church 1795 Reynolds Pond Road, Aiken, SC, 29805 or to a charity of one’s choice.
