Graniteville, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Lilia Rebecca Rada, age 86, will be held 10:00 am Friday November 8, 2024, at Van Orsdel Funeral and Cremation Services in Miami, FL. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Park South Cemetery in Miami, FL. Mrs. Rada entered into rest on November 2, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Mr. Ernesto Rada and the late Mrs. Lilia Vallejo Rada. She was a parishioner at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She attended the University of Florida and received a BS in Accounting. She owned her own accounting business, Lilia Rada Taxes and Services, and provided 65 years of service. Survivors include: one son, Harry Solorzano, Miami, FL; two daughters Laura (Bob Kelland) West, Pompano Beach, FL and Sonia Solorzano, Windsor, SC; brothers Vicking (Fanny) Rada, Tyrone, GA and Tito (Margie) Rada, Miami, FL; one sister Brenda Van Dillewijn, Venezuela; four grandchildren Erik Paradie, Brittany Kelland, Tyler and Brian Solorzano; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother Miguel Rada and one grandchild Nicholas Paradie. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials and donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org. A visitation with the family will take place on hour prior to service at Van Orsdel Funeral and Cremation Services in Miami, FL.
