Rev. Lee Roy Wells Sr.

Montmorenci—Entered into rest Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at his residence, Rev. Lee Roy Wells, Sr. age 78 husband of late Mrs. Mary Green Wells and son of the late Mr. Johnny Rufus Wells and Mrs. Mary Louise Davis Wells.

Rev. Wells wishes were for his body  to be donated to the Cellular Biology Anatomy Teaching Department at the Medical College of Georgia to further the study of medicine.

A celebration of life service will be held  2:00 pm Saturday June 22, 2013 at Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton,  with Rev. Edgar Foster officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Springs Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor.

Rev. Wells was a native of Lexington SC and lived all his life in Aiken County.  He had retired from Milner’s Gas Company in Aiken as a Truck Driver and Served in the National Guard. Rev. Wells was a member of First Baptist Church of Windsor, Windsor, SC

Survivors include two sons, Roy Dean Wells, Kitchings Mill, Lee Roy Wells Jr., Oakwood; two daughters, Virginia Bridges, and Mary Ellen Walker, Montmorenci; three brothers, O’Dell Wells, Lexington, Johnny and Charles Wells, Oakwood; twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.  Rev Wells was predeceased by one son, Kenny Wells, one daughter, Pat Wells, and one brother, Harold Wells.
