Mr. Lawrence “Jay” James Perea

Aiken, SC—Mr. Lawrence “Jay” James Perea entered into rest on February 12, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Perea was the beloved husband to Mrs. Yolanda Perea, and the son of Mr. Lawrence (Malinda) James Perea Sr. and Ms. Rene Springer Perea. Mr. Perea had his own landscaping business in Aiken, SC, and was a cosmetologist for one year at Studio YSB in Aiken.  He enjoyed boating, going to the lake, and animals. Mr. Perea will be missed greatly by his family and friends.  Survivors include: one stepson, Ashby Barton, Aiken, SC; one daughter, Nova Arabella, Aiken, SC; one step daughter Addison Barton, Aiken, SC; one brother, Daniel (Maria) Moski, South Haven, MI; and one sister, Shalon (Phil) Turner, Verona, WI; maternal grandmother Wendy Lee Scott; one niece Aslin Gayle; and one nephew Ryland Phillip. A private service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials and donations be made to St. Jude Hospital www.stjude.org.
