Joseph Richard Olivas IV

Jackson, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Joseph Richard Olivas IV, age 44, will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday May 17, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Olivas entered into rest on Tuesday May 12, 2026, at his residence. He was the son to Mr. Joseph (Rita) Richard Olivas III and Mrs. Nora Lujan Manning. Mr. Olivas was born in Tulare, CA, but spent most of his life in Alabama. He moved to the CSRA in 2002. Mr. Olivas enjoyed fixing and driving cars, watching Crimson Tide football, and watching movies. He enjoyed various musical artists, including ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elton John, and Leon Bridges. He was a great cook and was considered a grill master. During his younger years, he played recreational and high school baseball. Mr. Olivas had an infectious smile. He was fun loving, giving, and was always the life of the party. He was loved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: his wife Kristy, Nailling, Jackson, SC; one brother John (Jynnifer) Atchison, Tulare, CA; two sisters Joanna (Andre) Cheatham, Aiken, SC, and Jessica Olivas, Aiken, SC; three nephews Brennan Olivas, Raemond Bagley, and Mason Cheatham; four nieces Tea Olivas, Audriana Olivas, Kadence Olivas, and Andrea Cheatham; two great nephews Brennan “Junior” and Romeo; three great nieces Aayla, Olivia, and Noelle; and his best friend Dangelo Lincoln, New Ellenton, SC. Mr. Olivas was preceded in death by his step-father Patrick Manning.
