John Jesse

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. John “Jack” Duane Jesse, age 84, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phillip Lee officiating. Entombment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. John “Jack” Duane Jesse entered into rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Richmond, VA. He was born in Manor, PA to the late Mr. Edward C. Jesse and the late Mrs. Mary Evelyn “Wolfgang” Jesse.  He was the loving husband to the late Mrs. Louise Elaine Jesse. John “Jack” has lived in Aiken for the past 20 years.  He was an NRA member and enjoyed hunting in PA.  He was always interested in the cost of things and he enjoyed cooking beef and soups.   He loved cars, especially his hot rod truck that he restored himself. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite racer was Carl Edwards. John “Jack” will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Survivors include: one daughter Tammy (George) Sharp, Coco Beach, FL; one brother Gary (Jean) Jesse, Sheffield Lake, OH; two sisters Connie Seymour, Salisbury, MD and Dorothy Barkell, Salisbury, MD; nieces Vicky Glennie, Amy Hedger, Cindy Almarode, Dr. Laurel Plant, Beth Anne Gomez, Gerri Jesse, Marcy Jesse, and Christine Jesse; and nephews Duane Jesse, Jason Jesse, Dr. Steven Jesse, Josh Jesse, Robert Jesse and Mark Jesse.  Mr. Jesse was preceded in death by his son Kevin Duane Jesse.  Pallbearers will be Gary Jesse, Jason Jesse, Joshua Jesse, Will Hedger, Ryan Hedger and Mark Jesse.  A visitation with the family will take place from 6-8 pm Sunday, June 2, 2024 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175.
