Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Joel Allen Barwick, Sr., age 45, will be held 1:00 PM Friday October 8, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Windsor with Rev. Will Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Windsor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Moyer, Brian Standridge, Barry Barwick, Joey Graham, Michael Barwick, and Brian Barwick. Honorary pallbearer will be Earl Bubba Barwick, Michael S. Barwick.   Mr. Barwick entered into rest on Monday October 4, 2021 at University Hospital after losing his battle with Covid. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Jolene DeLuca Barwick and the son of the late Mr. Marion Douglas Barwick and the late Mrs. Brenda Young Barwick. He was Born in  Augusta, GA, and had made Aiken his home all his life. He was of the Christian faith, and attended Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville. Mr. Barwick was the groundskeeper for three years at Stable View LLC in Aiken. He was presently with Mike’s plumbing and Electrical LLC in Graniteville for the past three months until he contracted Covid. Mr. Barwick had been in construction since the age of 18. His hobbies included camping, dirt track racing, and NASCAR. His favorite racer was #48 Jimmy Johnson. Additional survivors include: one son Joel Allen Barwick, Jr., Aiken; one brother: Robert “Robbie” Barwick, Graniteville; one sister Cyndi Tice, Warrenville; and one step brother: Eric Kitchings, Aiken, and several nephews and great nephews.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to his son Joel Allen Barwick c/o Security Federal Bank, 50 Canal Street,  Suite 1 Graniteville, SC 29829. A visitation with the family will take place 11:00 AM Friday October 8, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Windsor. Due to Covid, the family has suggested that masks be worn and social distancing be observed. The service will be live streamed on the Cole Funeral Home Facebook page.
