Aiken, SC—A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Holsenback Family Cemetery with Rev. John Steele officiating. Mr. Jerry Bill Don Herron, age 70, entered into rest on March 5, 2024 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mr. Herron was born in Orangeburg, SC to the late Mr. Grover Wade Herron and the late Mrs. Poksie New. He was the loving husband of the late Mrs. Pearl Lucretia Herron. Mr. Herron was a member of North Aiken Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar. He also liked watching Andy Griffith and westerns. He loved playing card games with his grandkids and enjoyed going to the mountains with his loving family. Mr. Herron will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include: one son, Jerry Herron, Aiken; one daughter, Catrina Boatwright, Aiken; one brother, Lester Herron; five sisters, Maryalice Doyle, Neeses, Jean Ray Holsenback, Aiken, Carolyn Widener, Neeses, Carrie Herron, Florence, and Linda Corbett, Aiken; and five grandchildren, Caitlin Ricard, Gilbert, Lily Herron, Gaston, Hunter Herron, Neeses, Kaylee Boatwright, Aiken, and Shyla Boatwright, Aiken. He was predeceased by one daughter, Lucretia Herron, one brother, Wade Herron, and one sister, Doris Baughman. Service details will be announced at a later date.
