Mrs. Janet Lorraine Spellman Spina

Aiken—Entered into rest Sunday May 12, 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Mrs. Janet Lorraine Spellman Spina age 65 wife of the late Mr. Ronald N. Spina and daughter of the late Mr. David Spellman and Mrs. Hilda Vaccaro Spellman.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Friday May 17, 2013 in Room 1835 at Cumberland Village 3335 Wise Creek Lane, Aiken SC.  The family will be sharing memories and officiating the celebration service. Interment will be private.

Mrs. Spina was a native of Queens, NY and had made Aiken her home for the past few years. She spent the early part of her life as a dental assistant until she became a homemaker.  She was a Marketing Director at Cumberland Village until 2010 and attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.  She was also a well loved caregiver and friend to many area seniors.

Survivors include four daughters, Dr. Lia Spina (Dr. Michael Gaslin), Belmont, NC, Alison (Waylon) Cawley, Augusta, GA, Kenda (Stephen) Miller, Augusta, GA, Cortney Spina, Aiken; three brothers, George Spellman, FL, Donald Spellman, FL, Joseph Vincenti, PA; one sister, Virginia Giannino, PA; five grandchildren, Natalie Gaslin, Wyatt Cawley, Alicia Cawley, Adrian Miller, and Brendan Miller; her fury babies, Ming and Taco. Mrs. Spina was predeceased by one brother, Daniel Spellman.
