It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved James Morales, who departed this life on April 22, 2026, at the age of 46. James was a cherished son, brother, father and friend whose warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. Born on August 1, 1979, in Lompoc, CA, James devoted his life to his family, always putting family and friends above all else. He served in the United States Marine Corps and devoted 20 years of service to the Federal Bureau of Prisons at FCC Lompoc and Edgefield FCI. James loved watching his kids at their various sporting events, throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and giving big bear hugs to everyone he greeted!

James is survived by his parents Joe T. Morales and Yolanda Sotelo (Arnold), son, Isaac, stepson Albert Vasquez, daughters, Serena, Annalisa and Cataleya, wife Rachelle and step daughter, Daisy Martinez, brother Joe (Lisa), sister Monica (Adalberto) Ibarra, and many more family members who will forever hold dear the loving memories and lasting legacy he left behind. He was preceded in death by his brother Jesse. A service to celebrate James’ life will be held on May 3, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home 1544 University Parkway Aiken SC. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and honor a life so beautifully lived.

James will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
