Aiken, SC— A celebration of life service for Mr. James Morales, age 46, will be held 3:00 pm Sunday May 3, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Gallimore officiating. Mr. Morales entered into rest on Wednesday April 22, 2026 at his home. He was the husband to Mrs. Rachelle Velasquez Morales, and the son to Mr. Joseph Morales, Aiken, and Mrs. Yolanda Garcia Sotelo, Aiken. Mr. Morales was born in Lompoc, CA, but made Aiken his home for the past 7 years. He was a member of the Midland Valley Community Church. Mr. Morales served in the United States Marine Corp for 4 years, where he served in the Gulf War. He worked as a correctional officer in Lompoc, CA for 19 years. Mr. Morales then worked for the Edgefield, SC facility and later retired in 2020 after 1 year. He had many hobbies such as fishing, working in his yard, and being outdoors. Mr. Morales loved history and enjoyed watching Goldrush on TV. He also enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football and the L.A. Dodgers baseball games. Mr. Morales will be missed by his family and friends. Additional survivors include: son Isaac James Morales, Aiken, and Abert Vasquez, Santa Maria, CA; daughters Serena Morales, Santa Maria, CA, Annalisa Yolanda Morales, Morehead, City, NC, Daisy Mae Martinez, Aiken, and Cataleya Elizabeth Morales, Aiken; brother Joe Morales, Aiken; and sister Monica Ibarra, Aiken. He was preceded in death by one brother Jesse Morales.
