James Crawford Harkless

James Crawford Harkless, 90, of Aiken, SC went to his heavenly home on 8/13/26. 

He was born November 25, 1935, in New Castle, Pa to John and Ethel Harkless. He served in the Marine Corp from 1953-1956. He worked in the Trucking industry and in the Ministry as a Chaplain for Transport for Christ. 

 He was preceded in death by his wife Dixie Lee Harkless. his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his daughters Donna (Joe) Maggie, Kathy (Geoff) Dutton, Debra (Marty) Buckel, Lisa (David) Reed, and sons Kevin (Alaina) Harkless, Bruce (Sherrie) Stuart, Darrin (Jean) Harkless. 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two sisters Alice (Andy) Enos and Kathy (Mike) Cassaro. He was an active member of Darien Baptist church.

 Arrangements are being handled by Cole Funeral Home. A service will be conducted on August 21, 2026 at 1 pm at Darien Baptist Church.
