In Loving Memory of Hunter Lee Morgan
With hearts that feel impossibly heavy and love that will never fade, we share the loss of Hunter Lee Morgan, age 27, who entered into rest on March 18, 2026.
Hunter is survived by his loving mother, Sherri Morgan; his grandmother; uncle; many cousins; and countless friends who became family. He was preceded in death by his father, Todd Morgan.
Service Information
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home, 1544 University Pkwy, Aiken, SC 29801; 803-648-7175, with Pastor Jordan Bird officiating.
A native of Clarkston, Michigan, Hunter was a son, a best friend, and a soul who left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, a role that reflected his hands-on nature and fierce work ethic.
Hunter’s passion for the ride was unmatched. He spent 10 years racing motocross before transitioning from two wheels to four, finding a home in the adrenaline of racing figure-8 derby cars. Then there were his trucks, and there many, they were the heart and soul of who he was. There was something about the noise and the grit that matched the way he moved through life.
“Some race for the finish line; he raced for the feeling, the freedom, and the people beside him.”
He was unapologetically himself; he had the mouth of a sailor and never filtered his thoughts, and somehow, that made people love him even more. That middle finger—his favorite—wasn’t just attitude; it was humor and his way of saying exactly what he felt without needing a single word.
“Built loud; lived louder; loved the loudest.”
There are some people who don’t just exist; they feel everything and love without limits. That was Hunter. He loved so hard it almost hurt. If you were his person, you felt it in the way he showed up for you, checked on you, and would drop everything to make sure you were okay.
Hunter had a heart that never knew how to hold back; he would give the shirt off his back even if it meant he had nothing left. He was the one you called when everything fell apart, and somehow, just hearing his voice made things feel a little less heavy. He was kind, funny, wild, and fiercely loyal.
“He wasn’t just part of the ride; he was the reason it mattered.”
Underneath the strength and the fire was the deepest, most genuine love. His mother, Sherri, was his entire world; the way he loved her was rare and beautiful. His friends were family, and then there was Jasper, his dog, his heart walking outside of his body.
He lived for the moments most take for granted: big bon fires burning late into the night, cold beers, and music playing loud enough to feel in your chest. That was his peace.
“Real ones don’t fade; they echo in every memory, every laugh, every mile we carry them with us.”
Losing Hunter feels impossible and unfair, but to grieve this deeply means we were lucky enough to be loved by him. We will hear him in the songs played a little too loud and see him in the flames of every fire we sit around. He may not be here in the way we want, but he is everywhere in the ways that matter most.
“If love alone could have saved him, he would have lived forever.”
Forever loved; forever missed; forever carried with us in everything we do.
