Helen Mabes Heins

A Graveside service for Mrs. Helen Mabes Heins age 84 will be held 2:00 Saturday January 5, 2019 at Southlawn Cemetery with Deacon Bob Hookness celebrant.  Mrs. Heins entered into rest Friday December 28, 2018 at Kindred Hospital, Hollywood, Florida.  Mrs. Heins  was a native of Syracuse, New York and Had made Aiken, SC her home for over 8 years before moving to Miami, Florida.  She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Charles Heins and a daughter of the late Mr. Harold Mabes and the late Mrs. Josephine Siano Mabes. Mrs. Heins had graduated from LaRoche College, Pittsburgh, PA in 1979 with degree in Nursing.  She retired in 1990 from Sewickley Hospital,  Sewickley, PA, and was a member of the Herbal Club, Moon Township, PA and enjoyed playing the board game MAH-JOHNGG.   Mrs. Heins was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Heins, Miami, FL, Kris (Jana) Heins, Lexington, SC; one sister, Joan Kurtz, Mansfield, OH; four grandchildren, Chelsea Carrasco, Jonathan Heins, Joseph Heins, and Corinne Heins; one great grandchild, Luna Carrasco .  The family will receive friends at the graveside.  COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.
