Aiken, SC—A graveside service for Mr. Glenn Randy Whitt, age 73, will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday November 7, 2025, at Bethany Cemetery with Rev. Marion Britton officiating. Mr. Whitt entered into rest on Sunday November 2, 2025, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Cynthia Cato Whitt and a son to the late Mr. Glenn Ray Whitt and the late Frances Crowe Whitt. Mr. Whitt was born in Cowpens, SC, but had made the Aiken area his home for the last 65 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Aiken for 22 years. Mr. Whitt began his career as a painter with his father at GR Paint Contractors, Aiken before going to work at E.I. Dupont at SRS as a painter in construction. He retired as a civil superintendent with Bechtel at SRS in 2004, after 30 years of service. Mr. Whitt loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his love of God, his hard work ethic, and empathy for others. Additional survivors include: one son Glenn Aaron Whitt, Aiken; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved pet cat Pistol Pete. Mr. Whitt was preceded in death by: one son Matthew Ralph Whitt, two brothers Ray Whitt and Dean Whitt; and two sisters Geraldine Ashley and Kay Scott. A visitation with the family will take place from 5-7 pm on Thursday November 6, 2025, at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175.
