Aiken—Graveside services for Mr. Fred Eugene Napier, age 63, will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Redds Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Redd officiating with Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Army ceremonial team.
Mr. Napier entered into rest Wednesday, May 25, 2016. He was a native of Augusta, GA and had made Aiken County his home for the past 37 years.  Mr. Napier was a son of the late Mr. Frank Burton Napier and the late Mrs. Joanne Ford Napier.  He was married to Mrs. Susan Willis Napier for 37 years.
Mr. Napier had retired in 2004 after 25 plus years of service as a land surveyor for Civil Engineering of Columbia in Columbia, SC.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.  In his early years he enjoyed dancing for fun and in competitions.  Mr. Napier was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include two sons, Mark (Robyn) Napier, Aiken, SC, and Jacob Gay, Charleston, SC; two brothers, Frank “Tony” Napier, Griffin, GA, and Victor Napier, Prattville, AL; three grandchildren, Nicholas McNew, Jaden Napier, and Logan Mae Napier.  Along with his parents, Mr. Napier was predeceased by a sister, Donna Joanne Gay.
