Frankie “Frank” B. Stone, Sr.

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Frankie “Frank” B. Stone, Sr., age 83, will be held 11:00 am on Saturday May 10, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Will Vaughn and Rev. Brad Willis officiating. Graveside services will be private at Graniteville Cemetery. Mr. Stone entered into rest on Monday April 28, 2025, at his residence. He was the beloved husband to Mrs. Julia "Judy" Gomillion Stone and a son to the late Mr. Carl Patrick Stone and the late Mrs. Rosella Herron Courtney. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Windsor, SC. Mr. Stone had a diverse career consisting working for the Graniteville Company Vaucluse Division for 10 years, Owens Corning Fiberglass for 6 years, Hite's Florist on Chesterfield Street in Aiken for 10 years, Aiken S&W Security for 6 years, Williston Police Dept., retiring in 1992. He was also well known for selling produce and peanuts in the Aiken area for 40 years. Mr. Stone was a member of the Sons of Confederacy Bernard E Bee Camp. His hobbies included selling produce, fishing, making people laugh, collecting clocks and cameras, and going to the mountains. Additional survivors include: two sons Frankie (Sharise) B. Stone, Jr., North Augusta, and James Patrick “Pat” Stone, Windsor; one daughter Mary Elizabeth “Becky” (William) Holtzendorff, Windsor; two brothers Jerry Stone, Montmorenci, and Jack Stone, Warrenville; one sister Sara Mae Parrish, Aiken; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Mr. Stone was preceded in death by: one son Joseph Wayne Stone; and six brothers Roy, Teddy, Carl, Jr., Thomas, Joseph, and Daniel Stone. A visitation with the family will take place following the service at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Salvation Army in Aiken https://southernusa.salvationarmy.org/aiken/ or the Sons of Confederacy Bernard E Bee Camp 3 Inverness St W Aiken, SC 29803.
