Beech Island-Entered into rest Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her residence, Mrs. Essie Garrett Hall, age 64, wife of Mr. Harry Hall, Beech Island,  and daughter of the Mrs. Essie Ree Garrett, Wyandanch, NY and the late Mr. Arnold Lee Garrett.
Mrs. Garrett was a native of Talladega, AL and had Aiken County her home for the past 15 years.  She retired in 2013 from Anne Marie Nursing Facility in North Augusta with 12 years of service.  Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Wyandanch Memorial High School in Wyandanch, NY, she attended Suny Farmingdale State University, Farmingdale, NY,  and for over 13 years she was employed with Suffolk State (LIDDSO) in Melville, NY, the American Dry Cleaners in Hicksville, NY for 15 years and the Naval Academy in Maryland for over 2 years before moving to  Aiken County.   Mrs. Garrett was of the Baptist Faith.
Additional survivors include two sons, Thomas Garrett, Wyandanch NY, Jonathan “Yolanda” Garrett, Wyandanch, NY; one daughter, Cassandra Garrett, Central Islip, NY; two brothers, Patrick Garrett, Huntsville, AL, Douglas Garrett, Atlanta, GA; one sister, Kristi Garrett, Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and three God children, and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
