Aiken, SC—A memorial service for Mr. Ervin Posey, age 72, will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday August 22, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Mandrielle Davis officiating. Mr. Posey entered into rest on Saturday August 15, 2026, at his residence. He was the son of the late Mr. Ray Seigler and the late Miss Ruth Posey. Mr. Posey was born in Trenton, SC, and was a lifelong resident of the Aiken area. He worked for 25 years at WR Grace as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2005. His hobbies included fishing, bike riding, and watching Tyler Perry drama series. He was loved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: three sons Phillip (Rebecca) Posey, Aiken, SC, Corion Posey, Aiken, SC, and Jonathan Posey Augusta, GA; seven grandchildren Tyler, Kyra, Jada, Mariah, Justin, Corion Jr., and Lil Phil; two brothers-in-law Alvin Lloyd and Stephen Pope; three nieces Deirdre, Stephanie, Shantell; one nephew Stephen Jr.; and a host of cousins. Mr. Posey was preceded in death by his sisters Gloria Jean Posey Pope and Diane Lloyd.
