Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Elmer John  Edmonds, age 76, will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday September 27, 2022, at First Baptist Church Montmorenci with Rev. Steve Cheek officiating. Pallbearers will be Joe Porter, Joe Nirenberg, Fred Wienbeck, Howard Nirenberg, Thero Mums, and Nick Mums. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Edmonds entered into rest on Thursday September 22, 2022, at his residence. He was the son of the late Mr. Joseph Edmonds and the late Mrs. Myrtle Foresman Edmonds. Mr. Edmonds was a native of High Bridge, NJ, and had made the Aiken area his home since 1989. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church Montmorenci. His hobbies included circle words and puzzles. Survivors include four sisters Grace Boyd, Upland, PA, Wanda Tucker, New Ellenton, SC, Ada Falzetti, Hollywood, FL, and Patricia Mums, Aiken, SC. Mr. Edmonds was preceded in death by one brother James Arthur Edmonds and three half brothers William Barrow, Clyde Barrow, and Earl Barrow. A visitation with the family will take place one hour before the service at First Baptist Church Montmorenci. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to First Baptist Church Montmorenci PO Box 117 Montmorenci, SC 29839.
