Mrs. Elenita Dyer Batte
Aiken, SC--A celebration of life service for Mrs. Elenita Dyer Batte, age 94 will be held 2:00 pm Saturday October 21, 2017 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. Mrs. Batte will be laid to rest beside her husband in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Mrs. Batte Passed way Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Anchor Rehab, Aiken. She was a native of San Francisco, CA and had made Aiken her home for the past 34 years. Mrs. Batte was the wife of the late James H. Batte, General Retired and a daughter of the late Mr. Robert Dyer and the late Mrs. Olga Parodi Dyer. She traveled the world as the daughter of a US Naval officer and in support of her husband's career as an Army officer. She attended the College of William and Mary, was a member of the Green Boundary Club and attended St. Jon's United Methodist Church. Mrs. Batte leaves behind some very special friends that were dear to her, Buddy and Sue Wehman, Summerville, SC, Walter and Dancy Stroman of Pine Mountain, GA, Trent and Jan Arnold of Aiken and their daughters, Courtney (Paul) Gregory of Columbia, SC, Lauren Arnold of Brooklyn, NY, and Sarah Arnold of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Batte was also predeceased by one sister, Dorothy Dyer, In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to West Point Academy, 606 Thayer Road, West Point, NY, 10996. A visitation will take place Saturday October 21, 2017 at the funeral home following the service.
