Mr. Edward Matthew Keogh SMSGT Retired, U.S. Air Force
Aiken, SC—Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Edward Matthew Keogh, Sr. Master Sergeant Retired age 81 will be held 10:00 am Friday January 14, 2022 at St. John Catholic Church, Summersville, WV Chihn Tran as celebrant. Final prayers and commendations will be held at Donel C. Kinnard National Cemetery, Dunbar, WV. Pallbearers will be nephews. Mr. Keogh entered into rest Thursday December 16, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC. He was a native of Chillicothe, Ohio and had made Aiken County SC his home for the past 9 months moving from Summersville, WV. Mr. Keogh was the beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Mull Keogh and a son of the late Mr. Edward Keogh and the late Mrs. Susan Logan Keogh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served 4 tours in Vietnam and retired in 1986 with 30 years of service as Sr. Master Sergeant. After the serving his country Mr. Keogh went on to be a Purchasing Agent for Health Data Service Corp in 1987 and retired in 2007. His hobbies included history and his family. Mr. Keogh was a communicant of St. John Catholic Church, Summersville, WV. Additional survivors include his three daughters, Colleen Randall, Aiken, Kimberly Brown, San Bernardino, CA, Kelly Marquez, Apple Valley, CA; one brother, Billy Keogh, Bethpaige, NY; two sisters, Sue Ellen Payton, Mr. Lookout, WV, Kathleen Weatherly, Sparta, TN; twelve grandchildren and twenty three great grand children. Mr. Keogh was predeceased by one brother, Patrick, Keogh. A prayer vigil will be held at White Funeral Home 700 Broad Street, Summersville, WV starting at 6:00 pm and a visitation until 8:00 pm Thursday January 13, 2022 In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Aiken County Animal Shelter, 333 Wire Road, Aiken, SC, 29801. WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 700 BROAD STREET, SUMMERSVILLE, WV is in charge of services in West Virginia and COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801 is in charge of local arrangements.
