Mrs. E. Barbara Morgan
New Ellenton, SC/ Naples, FL—A celebration of life service for Mrs. E. Barbara “Bobbie” Morgan age 90 will be held 4:00 pm Sunday February 19, 2023 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, Aiken, SC with Pastors Tommy Ridgeway and Kenny Murphy officiating. The New Fire Sunday School Class of Mercy Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. A second service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday February 25, 2023 at the Naples Church of God (Oasis Church), Naples, FL with Pastor Michael McKellar officiating. Interment will follow in Naples Memorial Gardens, Naples, FL. Pallbearers will be Jordan Ray, Tim Henderlong, Chris Henderlong, Jeff Henderlong, Jim Smith, and Greg Burlinson. Mrs. Morgan moved to her heavenly home on Wednesday February 15, 2023. She was the wife of 38 years to the late Mr. Armon E. Morgan and a daughter of the late Mr. Stephen Allison Jones and the late Mrs. Beatrice (Bea) Bickford Jones. Barbara or "Bobbie", as she was known by family was born on September 12, 1932 in Naples Florida. Mrs. Morgan was a lifelong resident of Naples until 2018 when she relocated to Aiken, SC to be near her son. Mrs. Morgan attended Mercy Church, Aiken, SC. She was a proud member of the Naples Historical Society. She loved sharing her knowledge with others of Naples “old timers”. She was also a member of the Naples Church of God (Oasis Church) through which she served the Lord, taught Sunday School, led the Angel Food Ministry and provided rides to others to church. She had a servants heart and enjoyed helping others. One of her favorite activities was watching the sunset at the beach and perhaps catch the “green flash” as the sun would slide into the Gulf of Mexico. She loved fresh seafood, coffee and Earl Grey tea. She loved the mountains and enjoyed spending time with family there. Mrs. Morgan had a lovely smile and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son Jay (Delora) Ray, New Ellenton; five grandchildren, Brittni (Tommy) Ridgeway, Jordan Ray, William (Whitney) Ray, Stephen (Cheyanne) Ray, Savanna Ray; three great grandchildren, Zeke Ridgeway, Zoeigh Ridgeway, Zeph Ridgeway; one brother Allison Jones, Naples, FL; step children, Judy R. Burlinson, Lynne (Bill) Wharran, Rob (Debbie) Morgan; Daughter-in-law, Charo Morgan; five step grandchildren, Marisa (Ty) Lloyd, Monica (Ralph) Rodriguez, Melanie (Mike) Murphy, Mary ((Rodney) Lamb-Lucky, Greg (Simona) Burlinson, Tim (lacey) Henderlong, Christopher Henderlong, Jeff (Davee) Henderlong, Stephanie Wharran, Billy Wharran, Robby Morgan, Holly Jensen, and Samantha Ryan; Mrs. Morgan was predeceased by her sisters, Irie Jones Mazucco, Melba Jones Ammons. In Lieu of flowers the family has suggested that donations be made to the Church of God World Missions. A visitation with the family will be held this Sunday, February 19, 2023 on hour before services at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.
