Mr. Derrill Eugene McAlister age 70, son of the late Mr. Ernest B. McAlister and the late Mrs. Edith Cox McAlister.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Willis and Rev. Bruce Fox officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville SC with full military honors accorded by the U.S. States Army.

Mr. McAlister was a native of Walhalla, SC and had made Aiken County his home for most of his life.  He retired in 2003 in the maintenance department at Mt. Vernon Mills.  Mr. McAlister was a veteran of the U.S. Army retiring in 1991.  He was a member of the American Legion Post # 26,  Old Airport Road, Aiken SC,  and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Mr. McAlister was a member of Kedron Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons- Craig (Hope) McAlister, Aiken, Gary (Tosha) McAlister, Aiken; one daughter- Robin McMillan, Aiken; one brother-Randy McAlister, New Holland; one sister- Martha Pinto, Aiken; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.  Mr. McAlister was predeceased by one brother, Ronnie McAlister.

Pallbearers will be Grayson Still, Terry Pinto, Cory McMurtrie, Glenn Redd, Stuart Still, and Chad Cato.
