Mr. David Allen Watts U.S. Air Force Retired
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. David Allen Watts U.S. Air Force Retired, age 74, will take place at Cole Funeral Home Chapel Thursday April 8, 2021 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Alan Woodward officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Starke, Shawn Percival, Mark Bair, Eddie Gomez, Nathan Daugherty, and Charles Corbett. Interment will follow at Redd’s Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Watts entered into rest Sunday April 4, 2021 at Cumberland Village. He was the beloved husband of the late Brenda Watts and the son of the late Cecil R. Watts and the late Thelma L. Swift Watts. He was a native of Zanesville, OH, and had made Aiken County his home since 1987. Mr. Watts was a member of the Couchton Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force where he served during Vietnam and retired as an E5 Technical Sergeant. Mr. Watts also worked for the County of Aiken as an accountant for payroll and tax services, where he retired in 2008. Survivors include: two sons Bradley Watts, Aiken, and Gregory Watts, Aiken; two daughters Taylor Watts, Augusta, GA, and Telesa (Joshua) Starke, Windsor; one sister Debbie Babcock, Zanesville, OH; and one grandchild Autumn Washington, Aiken. Mr. Watts was preceded in death by one son Daniel Watts. A visitation with the family will take place Wednesday April 7, 2021 from 6-8 pm at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. Due to Covid19, masks will be required and social distancing will be observed. The service will be live streamed on the Cole Funeral Home Facebook page.
