Danny Lee Aldridge
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Danny Lee Aldridge, age 69, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday May 15, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Windsor with Rev. Will Vaughn and Rev. Mark Hesson officiating. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church of Windsor Cemetery. Mr. Aldridge entered into rest on Friday May 8, 2026, at his residence. He was the beloved husband to Mrs. Teresa Harper Aldridge and a son to the late Mr. James Franklin Aldridge and the late Mrs. Nancy Ellen Province Aldridge. Mr. Aldridge was preceded in death by his brother Harold Aldridge. Mr. Aldridge was born in South Charleston, WV, but had made the Aiken area his home since 2014. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Windsor. Mr. Aldridge was a coal miner for thirteen years, working for West Morland Coal Mines in Boone County, WV. He also spent thirteen years as a carpenter with Mundy Construction Company in Wilmington, NC, until 2014. He later worked with Sunbelt Rentals in Augusta for five years, where he retired in 2019. Mr. Aldridge had many hobbies. He was the 2004 NC Doubles Handicap Champion, rebuilt carburetors, watched dirt track racing, and did carpentry. He was loved by his family, and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: one son Michael (Briana) Aldridge, Aiken, SC; two daughters Elisha (Brian) Landers, Hurricane, WV, and Jennifer (Christopher) Wickizer, Aiken, SC; six grandchildren Ashleigh, Carrie Ann, Tabor, Chase, Breanna, and Brycen; and three great grandchildren Joanna, Natalie and Wrenleigh; two brothers Gary (Sandy) Aldridge, Hurricane, WV, and Bob (Tammy) Aldridge, Hurricane, WV; and three sisters Sharon (Mark) Hesson, Hurricane, WV, Lou Ann Aldridge, Hurricane, WV, and Janet (Roger) Ferrell, Hudson, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Windsor Sunday School Building Fund 539 Middleton Dr, Windsor, SC 29856.
