Windsor SC – Chester Todd Randolph, known to family and friends as Todd, 75, of Windsor SC, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026.

Todd was born on June 8, 1950, in Norwood MA to the late Carl and Mildred Emery Randolph. He attended school in Norwood and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a helicopter technical inspector.

In his younger years, he worked in the auto industry and ultimately retired from a surgical table accessory company in MA and always strove to improve on each project he worked on. His hobbies included race car driving, chief crew pit man, and building various kinds of mechanical engines. He embraced the challenge of solving mechanical as well as technical problems, and loved the camaraderie that ensued with those who shared his passion for finding a solution.

Between his various professional careers, Todd served two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Army (1974-76) as a Specialist 5th Class. He was recognized with a number of medals including National Defense Service, 2-star Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign (60 Device), Army Commendation, and Aircraft Crewman Badge – all of which evidenced his love of dedication to the mission.

Todd was married to his first wife, Jane, for 35 years before her passing, and raised their two children Joyal Clare and Carl Leonard Randolph, always instilling in them his attributes of kindness, love and hard work which also led him to the many cherished friends he met throughout his life.

In 2008 he married Donna Collins Crown on August 28, 2008 and lived in Orange MA. He embraced Donna’s family and they him. As he was always willing to learn something new, Donna shared her love of horses and dogs with Todd. In 2016, Todd retired and saddled-up with Donna to move to horse country in Windsor SC where they took all their vehicle, mechanical, technical, home and animal paraphernalia to start a small farm, and to utilize a different kind of “horsepower.” While Donna rode her horses, Todd learned to drive his pony so they could investigate the trails around their new home together.

Todd will be remembered for the tremendous impact he made on everyone he met from family, friends, coworkers, children and pets. Always extending a helpful hand, he often mentored others in the trades in which he was so proficient. Todd left an indelible mark on so many lives with his strong but unpretentious manner.

Todd is survived by his beloved wife Donna, his son, Carl (Melanie) of Colorado, his daughter, Joyal of Massachusetts, and grandchildren Morgan and Quinn, numerous nieces and nephews; along with Donna’s children, Tracy Scrima (Joseph) and Aaron Crown (Jennifer); two grandchildren, five siblings, extended families and in-laws. Todd is predeceased by his dear wife, Jane, his sister, Susie, and his parents, Mildred and Carl. A celebration-of-life will be held this summer in Massachusetts.

In Todd’s memory, donations can be made, payable to the DAV Disabled American Veterans, Attn. Gift Processing, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati OH 45250-0301 or by phone 877-647-8387.
