Mr. Charles Lee Vermillion

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Charles Lee Vermillion, age 83, will be held 12:00 pm on Monday February 9, 2026, at the First Baptist Church Montmorenci with Rev. Logan C. Ford officiating. Mr. Vermillion entered into rest on Tuesday January 20, 2026. He was the beloved husband to the late Mrs. Debra McCollum Vermillion and the son to the late Mr. Calvin Thomas Vermillion and the late Mrs. Kathleen Vermillion. Mr. Vermillion was born in Augusta, GA, and a lifelong resident of the Aiken area. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Central Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Montmorenci. Mr. Vermillion loved watching his old television shows such as “Highway to Heaven,” “Little House on the Prairie,” “In the Heat of the Night,” “Bonanza,” and “Gunsmoke.” He loved watching the NFL and followed the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers. Mr. Vermillion enjoyed listening to old country music as well as southern gospel. He especially enjoyed listening to the Gaither Vocal Band. Mr. Vermillion collected coins, and his favorite thing to eat was a hotdog with chili and onions. His favorite thing of all was spending time with his wife, as well as his family. He had a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. Mr. Vermillion would do anything for anyone and had a quiet humility. He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: two sons Robert (April) Vermillion, Aiken, SC, and Keith (Janet) Vermillion, Conway, SC; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation with the family will take place one hour before the service at First Baptist Church Montmorenci.
