Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Charles Russell Snyder, Jr., age 83, will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday August 13, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Glenn, Ryan Matthews, Parker Matthews, Rusty Snyder, David Cook, and Chris Blitchington. Mr. Snyder entered into rest on Friday August 7, 2026, at Agape House of Lexington. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to the late Mrs. Violet Janell Baughman Snyder and a son to the late Mr. Charles Russell Snyder, Sr. and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Strickland Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. He was a Christian and a member of Merritts Bridge Christian Church. He worked for Hewitt and Robbins for 33 years as a metal fabricator, retiring in 2005. His hobbies included fishing, football, NASCAR, and watching old westerns. He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: his biological grandchildren Rusty Snyder, Grovetown, GA, and Tamera Bazen, Grovetown, GA; his step-daughters Diane Cook, Bluffton, SC, Brenda Taylor, Aiken, SC, and Angie (Jake) Jacobs, Wagener, SC; one brother Jimmy (Terry) Snyder, North Augusta, SC; seven step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by: his son Charles Russell Snyder III; one step-daughter Marie McCay; two brothers Larry Snyder and Wayne Snyder; and two great grandchildren Neil Taylor and McKinsey Cook.
